Discounts on single tickets

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE < 30

50% discount for pupils, apprentices, and students, as well as military and civilian service personnel, up to the age of 30. Exceptions apply to performances in price categories K, R, and S. For Tosca, a special youth ticket price of €20 applies.

FAMILY PASS

Adults holding a Family Pass and attending together with at least one child. Discount: 20% for adults and 50% for children. Exceptions: premieres and performances in price categories K, R, and S. For Tosca, a special youth ticket price of €20 applies.

 LAST-MINUTE TICKETS < 30

Thirty minutes before the performance begins, the box office offers any remaining tickets at a price of €9 for pupils, apprentices, and students up to the age of 30 (€15 at the Festival Halls). Students from partner schools may purchase tickets at these last-minute prices as early as one week before the performance, subject to availability.

STUDENT WEDNESDAY < 30

For Wednesday performances, students up to the age of 30 are eligible for last-minute ticket prices at the daytime box office. Advance reservations are not possible.

SENIORS

Visitors aged 65 and over receive a 20% discount. Exceptions apply to premieres, selected performances, and performances in price categories K, R, and S.

Ö1 CLUB

Members of the Ö1 Club receive a 10% discount for themselves and one accompanying person. Exceptions apply to premieres and performances in price categories K, R, and S.

SUBSCRIPTION HOLDER DISCOUNT

Subscribers holding a fixed subscription package are entitled to the following discounts: 50% for children and young people on their subscription performance date, 20% on accompanying tickets for the same performance date, and 10% on all additional performances. For details, please refer to the subscription terms and conditions.

GROUPS

Groups booking 20 full-price tickets receive one complimentary ticket. Reservation option deadlines are: up to 20 tickets, 4 weeks before the performance; 21 tickets or more, 8 weeks before the performance. Separate terms and conditions apply to school groups and tour operators.

HUNGER AUF KUNST UND KULTUR / AKTIV:KARTE

Complimentary tickets are available from one week before the performance date at the box office for holders of a “Kulturpass” (Culture Pass) issued as part of the “Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur” initiative or an “Aktiv:Karte” issued by the City of Salzburg. Availability is limited and subject to a restricted ticket allocation.

ACCESSIBLE SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS

Holders of a Disability Pass with a certified disability rating of 50% or more, as well as registered accompanying persons, receive a 50% discount on the single-ticket price. Exceptions apply to performances in price categories K, R, and S.

Wheelchair users may attend performances at the State Theatre free of charge (wheelchair spaces subject to availability; no wheelchair spaces are available in the Chamber Theatre; alternative venues available on request).

The State Theatre is equipped with an induction hearing loop (stalls and balcony) and additionally offers a Wi-Fi-based assisted listening system available from all seats. For details, please visit the website.

 

Please note that proof of eligibility must be presented upon admission when using discounted tickets. Otherwise, the difference to the full ticket price must be paid.

Selected discounts can also be booked online. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. Multiple discounts cannot be combined.

All prices are quoted in euros and include the applicable statutory VAT. Special conditions apply to guest performances and events designated by the theatre management.
