We are delighted that you are interested in our streaming service. Enjoy recordings from past and current seasons, as well as productions from our archive. We offer you the opportunity to watch selected productions digitally from the comfort of your home for €9. Some streams are also available free of charge by using the discount code “landestheater”.

Below you will find an overview of which productions are available, during which period, and at what price. Answers to frequently asked questions about streaming can be found here, as well as at the bottom of this page.

 

Kasimir And Karoline

Play by Ödön von Horváth.The central stage element of this production is an eight-metre-high “Wheel of Steel”, set in motion by the performers’ body weight. Serving as a poetic metaphor, it becomes a defining visual feature of the staging. Directed by Carl Philip von Maldeghem.

The NEw Menoza

Play by Jakob Michael Reinhold Lenz. Prince Tandi sets out to discover Western civilisation. Before long, he comes to recognize the corruption and depravity that lie beneath its surface. Directed by Dörte Lyssewski.

The Robbers

Play by Friedrich Schiller. Schiller’s family drama caused a sensation when it premiered in 1782 and has lost none of its relevance or dramatic impact to this day. Director Sarah Henker presents a fresh and contemporary interpretation of this classic work.

The Carnival of the Animals

The composer Camille Saint-Saëns created a masterpiece with “The Carnival of the Animals”. It is performed by the Mozarteum Orchestra, accompanied by the ballet ensemble of the Salzburg State Theatre. The narrator is Christoph Wieschke.

Play by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This modern production of “Faust” has become an indispensable part of the Salzburg State Theatre’s repertoire. Directed by Carl Philip von Maldeghem.

How much does the streaming service cost?

Please refer to the pricing information listed under each streaming production. Recordings from past seasons are available free of charge. Some productions are offered with a paywall of €9 (€7.50 + €1.50 VAT). After purchase, you will be able to watch the production for 3 days.

How can I watch the streams?

Select a performance and follow the link under the production image, or visit: https://sbglandestheater.vhx.tv/products. Click the button indicating the price for the selected stream and follow the platform’s instructions:

 

You will be asked to register:

  1. Enter your email address. A new field will appear: re-enter your email address.

  2. Set a password. These will be your login credentials. You can use them to log in to Vimeo at any time.

  3. Choose your preferred payment method (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and enter your payment details.

  4. Click “Complete purchase”.

How do I watch free videos?

To stream a free video, you must also enter the discount code “landestheater”.

  4. Below, you will find a small box labelled “Promo code?”. Click it and enter the code “landestheater”. Then click “Apply”.

  5. IMPORTANT: A new field will appear above the email address field: please enter your name.

  6. Instead of “Complete purchase”, the button will now say “Redeem now” – click it.
