Charlotte Steidl
Assistant to the director
Charlotte Amadea Steidl is no stranger to the Salzburg theater scene. From early childhood, she appeared in productions at the Salzburger Landestheater. In her role as an assistant director, she regularly stages choreography for musical productions thanks to her dance background and, when needed, also performs on stage herself.
During her time at the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg, her artistic focus was already on dance. Film is another of her great passions: after graduating, she completed a diploma in Film Production at the SAE Institute Vienna. This was followed by her own short and dance films; in 2025, she and her team won 3rd place at the short film competition Instant36. She has also worked behind the camera on larger productions such as the Netflix film “Eat Pray Bark” and the series Nine Perfect Strangers (Season 2).
Assistant directing placements on the productions “Xanadu” and “Skiverliebt” brought her back to her beginnings at the Salzburger Landestheater. Since the 2025/2026 season, she has been engaged there as an assistant director. In her work so far, she has collaborated with Ramesh Nair, Christiane Silberhumer, Susanne Frieling, and Andreas Gergen.
