Max Mahlert

Music / Composer

Max Mahlert studied jazz and popular music with a focus on drums, as well as jazz pedagogy, at the Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt. He has been active with numerous bands and musical projects, performing across Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the USA.

As a theatre musician, composer, and sound designer, he has worked at Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Münchner Kammerspiele, Staatstheater Mainz, Stadttheater Bremerhaven, and theatres in Lüneburg, Eisenach, and Neuss. Together with Isaak Dentler and Tim Roth, he also appears in independent productions throughout Germany.

In summer 2022, Max Mahlert was musical director of the festival "Share!" at Schauspiel Frankfurt. Most recently, he performed as a musician in "Solaris" (directed by Christian Friedel) at Schauspiel Frankfurt. "Homo Faber," directed by Susanne Frieling, marks his debut at the Salzburg State Theatre.
