Anne Ehrlich

Stage Design

Anne Ehrlich studied interior architecture/spatial design under Prof. Colin Walker. From 1998 to 2001, she designed several film sets.

From 2004 to 2008, she worked as an assistant set designer at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. In 2008, she designed the stage set there for the world premiere of “Das letzte Feuer” by Dea Loher, directed by Andreas Kriegenburg. For this work, she was awarded the Rolf Mares Prize of the City of Hamburg. From 2011 to 2018, she was head of the atelier at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. She was nominated several times by Theater Heute as Set Designer of the Year.

She has worked, among others, at the Münchner Volkstheater, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Köln, Staatstheater Hannover, Oper Wuppertal, Akademietheater in Vienna, National Theatre Oslo, Folkoperan in Stockholm, Riksteatern Sweden, Deutsches Theater Berlin, as well as Theater Bonn and Staatsschauspiel Dresden.
