Ben van Beelen

Ballet

Ben van Beelen was trained at the Centre for Advanced Training of Northern Ballet in Leeds and at the Ballet School of the Hamburg Ballet John Neumeier. He has danced in productions including “Lord of the Flies” and “The Nutcracker” at the Grand Theatre in Leeds, as well as “The Sleeping Beauty” in John Neumeier’s choreography at the Hamburg State Opera.

Since the 2022/2023 season, he has been a member of the ballet ensemble at Salzburger Landestheater. Since then, he has appeared in solo roles including the title role in “Lili, the Danish Girl

”, Prince Désiré in “The Sleeping Beauty”, Harlequin in “The Nutcracker”, as well as Diego Rivera in “Frida’s World” and the Torero in “Carmen”. He has also performed leading roles in “How About Jazz?”, “Bossa Nova” and “Boléro”.
