Eleonora De Leo

Stage Design

Eleonora De Leo holds a diploma in Theatre Set Design from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, after completing her undergraduate studies at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin.

Alongside her work as assistant designer, she develops personal and experimental projects. She collaborated with writer Alessandro Baricco on Pacific Palisades (Romaeuropa Festival), which led to her designing the set for Alessandro Baricco reads Novecento in 2018, presented at the 61st edition of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, with lighting by Tommaso Arosio and original music by Nicola Tescari.

For the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, she designed the sets for the rare opera Astarto, directed by Silvia Paoli, with costumes by Alessio Rosati and lighting by Fiammetta Baldiserri. From 2021 to 2024, she collaborated with the artistic directors of the Biennale Teatro Venezia, Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte, contributing to the graphic design, layout, and publication of the Festival Catalogue.

Among her most recent theatre projects: she worked with Caterina Guzzanti on Secondo lei, the actress’s directorial and writing debut; designed the set for Thérèse, written and directed by Stefano Ricci and produced by Teatro Biondo Stabile in Palermo; and collaborated on Toccando il vuoto, starring Lodo Guenzi, directed by Silvio Peroni, with lighting by Gianni Bertoli. In 2026 she will design the sets for the dittico "Il segreto di Susanna / La notte di un nevrastenico", directed by Stefano Vizioli, at the Haydn Foundation in Bolzano.

She has been teaching Scenography and Scenic Techniques at NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan since 2024.
