Emilia Zagnoli
Costume Design
Emilia Zagnoli was born in Milan.
She got her degree in Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon College Of Arts in London.
After a first experience in the world of millinery (Claire Stickland in London) she starts to work as costume assistant for different productions as OSLO At National Theater, Porgy and Bess at English National Opera, "My Fair Lady" at Lincoln Center in New York, "Rigoletto" at StaatsOper in Berlin with the costume designer Catherine Zuber.
She continues to collaborate with different costume designers such as Elena Beccaro for different productions in Europe like Teatro Del Maggio Fiorentino ("Don Pasquale", "Lucrezia Borgia"), Frankfurt Opera ("Amadigi di Gaula"), Teatro la Fenice ("Ernani"), Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia ("Ernani") and so much more.
In 2024, she designed the costumes for The Voyage by Philip Glass directed by Chiara Osella and Carlo Massari at Klaipeda State Opera Theater in Lithuania.
She’s been teaching costume design and history of costume at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan since 2018.
