Frederik Werth

Frederik Werth studied Philosophy and Musicology/Sound Studies at the Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn before joining Theater Bonn as an assistant director. During this time, he created his first own works, including “Eure Ordnung ist auf Sand gebaut” and “Die Nase.”
In addition to his directing work, Frederik Werth is active as a sound designer and part of Luise Voigt’s team. Together they developed productions such as “Anna Karenina” at Theater Bonn, “Carmilla” at Schauspielhaus Graz, “The Master and Margarita” and “We Are the People” at the German National Theatre Weimar.
As a video artist, he collaborates with, among others, Reinhild Hoffmann, Kathrin Mayr, and Sebastian Kreyer. At Theater im Bauturm he was responsible for video design for productions including “The Government Inspector,” “The Oresteia,” “Automatenbüffet,” “The Neverending Story,” and “Madonna’s Last Dream.” He also handles concept and video within the collective TheaterBlackbox.
