Genia Maria Karasek

Genia Maria Karasek was born in Stuttgart. After graduating from high school, she spent a year in New York, where she completed several workshops at the New York Film Academy. In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor of Acting in London and subsequently performed at various theaters in the UK, Israel, and Germany, including the Apollo Theatre in London, Kampnagel in Hamburg, the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, and in Tel Aviv.

She also appeared in the feature film “Rettet Raffi”. In Kiel, she first performed in 2011 as part of the “Flächenbrand” festival in the production "The Story of St. Magda". At Theater Kiel, she appeared in productions such as the summer open-air "Romeo & Juliet – The Musical", the Christmas fairy tale "Cinderella", "The Ten Commandments (Part 1)", Terror, and "Kasimir and Karoline".

From the 2017/2018 season, she was a member of the ensemble at the Salzburger Landestheater, where she appeared in productions including "War of Dreams", "Doctor Dolittle", "My Silent Night", "Much Ado About Nothing", and several children’s and youth theater productions. In the 2018/2019 season, she played the role of Ophelia in Hamlet.

Since 2022, Genia Maria Karasek has been a recurring guest performer at the Salzburger Landestheater. Most recently, she appeared there in "The Center of the World", "Heldenplatz", "Happy Holidays", and "How to Do Everything Right in Life". For younger audiences, she returned in the 2025/2026 season with "The Little Ghost".
