Geraldine Massing

Stage and Costume Design

Geraldine Massing was born in Vienna. She studied stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Anna Viebrock, and Fine Arts at the University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins. She also completed further training as a milliner and jewelry artist.

She works as a freelance artist in the fields of stage design, costume design, and installations. Through assistantships in stage design at the Burgtheater, Akademietheater, the Salzburg Festival, Theater Basel, Stuttgart State Opera, and the Hamburg State Opera, she gained valuable professional experience.

Her own stage and costume designs have taken her, among other places, to the Salzburg State Theatre, Musiktheater im Revier, the Tanzquartier Wien, Theater am Werk, the Volkstheater, and the Odeon Theater Wien.
