Giorgia Deferro

Italian soprano Giorgia Deferro (born 2000) is a native of Asti and has been a permanent member of the Salzburger Landestheater Choir (Soprano I) since December 2025.
She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Voice at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, studying with Michéle Crider and Stephan Genz. In addition, she continues her advanced training at the Accademia Licia Albanese in Taranto, where she is coached, among others, by Lucio Gallo. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Opera Performance from the Conservatorio “N. Paganini” in Genoa.
Her recent performances include Mimì in "La Bohème" (Teatro Verdi Genova, 2025), Lola in "Cavalleria Rusticana" (Orvieto, 2021), as well as various Puccini roles at the Portofino International Festival. In 2024, she appeared as a soloist at the Puccini anniversary celebration “Festival Musicale Rosario Scalero.”
Giorgia Deferro is the recipient of several international awards, including the 2nd Prize at the “Franz Schubert” Competition in Ovada (2024). She has also been awarded the Academic Merit Scholarship of the Mozarteum University.
