Kay Heles

Chorus Member

Kay Heles’ musical training began at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg, where they studied voice as well as violin and piano. They subsequently studied voice at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with KS Prof. Elisabeth Wilke, graduating with distinction in 2018.

Kay Heles took part in several opera productions at the Mozarteum, including the role of Ruggiero in Handel’s "Alcina", as well as Anna and Dorina in the Austrian premiere of Manfred Trojahn’s “Limonen aus Sizilien”. Outside the university, Kay Heles first appeared at the Salzburg Festival as the Apprentice in Richard Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” in 2013, followed by the same role at La Scala in Milan in 2017.

During the 2018/2019 season, Kay Heles was a member of the International Opera Studio at Staatstheater Nürnberg, where they appeared as Sonja in Prokofiev’s “War and Peace” and as Amastre in Handel’s “Xerxes”, among other roles.

Kay Heles regularly performs in concerts and recitals both in Germany and abroad. They are also a recipient of an award from the Foundation for the Promotion of Young Artists in Luxembourg and a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Trier-Luxembourg.

Since the 2022/2023 season, Kay Heles has been a permanent member of the opera chorus at Salzburger Landestheater.
