The baritone was born in Bulgaria and studied opera singing at the National Academy of Music in Sofia. In 1996, he made his debut at the Stara Zagora State Opera in Bulgaria as Sharpless in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”. Further engagements took him to the Bergen Festival in Norway, where he performed the role of Schaunard in Puccini’s “La Bohème”.
Since 1998, he has been a member of the opera chorus of the Salzburg Landestheater. His roles there have included Doctor Grenvil in Verdi’s “La Traviata”, Alcindoro in Puccini’s “La Bohème”, Masetto in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and Micha in Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride”.
