Laura Rieger

German mezzo-soprano Laura Rieger completed her vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in September 2020, studying with Prof. KS Gabriele Fontana, Prof. Karlheinz Hanser and Prof. Anton Scharinger. Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Prince Orlofsky in  “Die Fledermaus”, Annio in “La clemenza di Tito”, Hänsel in “Hansel and Gretel” and the Third Lady in “The Magic Flute”.

She performed the role of Cherubino in “Le nozze di Figaro” at Theater der Stadt Schweinfurt as part of a touring production conducted by Guido Mancusi. She also made her debut in the role at Theater Heidelberg in 2016 and at Daegu Opera House in South Korea in 2018. Further engagements have taken her to the jOpera Festival Summer in Burgenland, as a touring ensemble member of “I Virtuosi Ambulanti” to several cities across Germany, as well as to the Marionette Theatre and Schönbrunn Palace Theatre in Vienna.

In the concert field, she regularly performs as a recital and oratorio singer. Her concert engagements have included appearances at the Hugo Wolf Birthplace in Slovenia, the Vienna Konzerthaus and Melk Abbey.

She has also gained important artistic impulses and inspiration through her collaborations with artists including Edda Moser, Ulrike Sonntag, Susan Maclean, Christa Ludwig and Julius Drake.
