Leon de Graaf

Musical

Leon completed his musical theatre training at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in Amsterdam (2014), earning a Bachelor Degree in Performing Arts and a Bachelor Degree Teacher in Dance. Parts of his studies took place at the University of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, Sweden, with vocal training under Edward Hoepelman and Stephanie Tschöppe. He specialized in musical theatre, Fosse style, and tap dance.

His stage credits include performances in productions such as “Jeans,” “Billy Elliot,” “Evita,” “Footloose,” “A Chorus Line,” “Grand Hotel,” Disney’s “Aladdin,” “An American in Paris,” “West Side Story,” “Miss Saigon,” “Les Misérables,” “Titanic,” “Mary Poppins,” “Something Rotten!,” “Rent,” “Follies,” and “Saturday Night Fever.” He appeared as ensemble member, soloist, swing, dance captain assistant, and in multiple cover and principal roles across the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Leon also contributed as co-choreographer or assistant choreographer to productions such as “Rent,” “Something Rotten!,” “Evita,” “A Chorus Line,” and “Grand Hotel.” In 2022, he choreographed the operetta “Der Zarewitsch” at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl.
