Lukas Perman received his training at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and at the Music and Arts University of Vienna. Already during his studies, he made his musical theatre debut in Elisabeth in 2003 at the Theater an der Wien. In 2005, he took on the title role in the German-language premiere of Romeo and Juliet at the Raimund Theater. Over the past two decades, he has appeared in leading roles at major venues including Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (Elisabeth, Dance of the Vampires, I am from Austria), the Vienna Volksoper, Bühne Baden, the Salzburg State Theatre, Seefestspiele Mörbisch, among others, as well as in numerous Japanese productions.

In addition to multiple CD releases, Lukas Perman is active as a presenter for concerts, galas, events, and television programmes (including ORF’s "Licht ins Dunkel" and "Wir spielen für Österreich"). In 2013, he was a finalist on the ORF show "Dancing Stars".

Since 2010, with his production company “Perman Productions & Consulting GmbH”, he has produced and presented concerts and musical theatre productions (including at the Raimund Theater, Ronacher, and Wiener Stadthalle). He also works as a consultant for artists as well as in the fields of presentation skills and personal development for executives.

In recognition of his “artistic achievements and social commitment” for various national and international aid organisations, he received the TARA of the “Life goes on Award” in 2011. In 2019, he was awarded the “Golden Decoration of Honour of the Republic of Austria”.
