Maria Strassl
Musical
The Salzburg-born performer appeared on stage at the age of five as Gretel in "The Sound of Music" at the Salzburg Landestheater, and in the following years also performed as Martha, Brigitta and Louisa. In 2013 she sang the Sparrow in "Brundibár", in 2014 Pepina in "Les Choristes – The Children of Monsieur Mathieu", and in 2015 the title role in the musical "Annie". She appeared as Djamila in the children’s opera "Flüchtling", as one of the Three Boys in "The Magic Flute", and as young Elisabeth in "Meine Stille Nacht".
As a member of the Salzburg Festival and Theatre Children’s Choir, she took part in productions such as "Hansel and Gretel" and "La Bohème" and performed at the Salzburg Festival alongside soloists including Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann and Piotr Beczała.
