Mikino Karube

Mikino Karube was born in Niigata, Japan in 1992. She started classical ballet at The Niigata Ballet School when she was 5 years old. At age 17, she was chosen as finalist in Youth America Grand Prix in New York. In 2011, she transferred to Rudra Bejart Ballet School in Lausanne, Switzerland. There she learned classical ballet, Martha Graham technique and repertoire from Maurice Bejart. Also she danced in some performances with Bejart Ballet Lausanne, in »Rite of Spring» and »Fire Bird«. In 2013, she joined to Hungarian National Ballet as a corps de ballet. 2014 she transferred to Ballet of the National Moravian Silesian Theater in Ostrava, Czech Republic. In there she performed several soloist role, including Pas de trois, small swans in Swan Lake, Chinese solo in Nutcracker, Winter Fairy in Cinderella, and Quartet in Barocco by J.Przybylowicz. Since 2015/2016 season, she is a member of Salzburg Ballet.
