Mikino Karube began her classical ballet training at the age of five in Japan at the Niigata Ballet School. At the age of 17, she was a finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York. In 2011, she moved to the Rudra Béjart Ballet School in Lausanne. With Béjart Ballet, she appeared in productions including “Le Sacre du printemps” and “The Firebird”.

In 2013, she joined the Hungarian National Ballet before moving to the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in Ostrava, Czech Republic, in 2014. There, she performed solo roles in works including “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker”, “Cinderella” and “Barocco” by J. Przybyłowicz.

Since the 2015/16 season, Mikino has been a member of Salzburg Ballet at Salzburger Landestheater. Among other roles, she has performed the female leads in “The Sleeping Beauty”, “Frida’s World” and “Rosa” by Reginaldo Oliveira, as well as solo roles in ballets by Vincenzo Veneruso and Jonathan dos Santos.
