Minyong Kang

Korean tenor Minyong Kang completed his vocal studies at Dankook University in Seoul.
He subsequently spent seven years as a member of the Municipal Choir of the City of Goyang.

He made his stage debut in 2009 as Count Almaviva in Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia” at the Seoul Arts Center (South Korea). In 2010, he continued his vocal training at the Tyrolean State Conservatory, specialising in concert performance. At the Tyrolean Festival Erl, he appeared in Wagner’s “Parsifal” and “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg”. As a member of the Concert Association of the Vienna State Opera, he performed regularly in productions at the Salzburg Festival.

Since 2013, Minyong Kang has been a member of the opera chorus of the Salzburg Landestheater.
