Eva Musil

Eva Musil was born in Salzburg. She began studying drama and German literature in Vienna, but then returned to Salzburg and studied stage design with Prof. Herbert Kapplmüller at the Mozarteum University. When she was still a student she assisted Christian Schmidt and Hans Neuenfels at the Residenztheater in Munich and the Volksoper in Vienna. At the Salzburg Festival she worked as an assistant to Anna Viebrock and Jossi Wieler, as well as Marlene Poley and Christian Stückl. She was subsequently employed by the Salzburg Festival as a set design assistant for several seasons. At the same time she was also working as a stage designer for various choreographers and performers, including Zoe Knights, Rotraut Kern, Georg Hobmeier and Hubert Lepka for projects in Kortrijk (Belgium), Vienna, Bytom (Poland), Salzburg and Sölden and free-lancing as a visual artist. Since 2011 she has been regularly employed as a stage and costume designer at the Salzburg State Theatre, where she headed the costume/design department in the 2015/2016 season.
