Nicole Lubinger
Opera
The Carinthian opera and concert singer studied opera singing at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz with Katerina Beranova, Thomas Kerbel, and Robert Holzer. Following initial engagements at the Vienna Volkstheater and the Burgtheater Vienna, she began taking on her first solo roles alongside her studies. Her versatile repertoire includes, among others, the yodeler Katy in "Im weißen Rössl", Rosine in "Der Teufel auf Erden", the Queen of the Night in "Die Zauberflöte", Hanna Glawari in "Die lustige Witwe", Ermione in Handel’s "Oreste", and Sandrina in Mozart’s "La Finta Giardiniera".
Most recently, she appeared as Rosalinde in "Die Fledermaus" at the Staatsoperette Dresden, Alice Couder in Leo Fall’s "Die Dollarprinzessin" at the Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, and Franziska Cagliari in "Wiener Blut" at the Sommerarena Baden. She is a prizewinner and first-place recipient of numerous competitions, including the Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition, Zukunftsstimmen by Elīna Garanča, the Upper Austrian Operetta Competition, and the Johann Strauss Singing Competition 2024, where she was also awarded the Media Prize of Radio Klassik Stephansdom.
Since the 2024/2025 season, she has been a permanent ensemble member of the Salzburg State Theatre. In the 2025/26 season, she has appeared and continues to appear in "Don Giovanni", "Giulio Cesare", "Eugene Onegin", and "Berlin Alexanderplatz".
