Rebecca Gladstone
Born in Sydney, Rebecca Gladstone began her dance journey at the Kim Walton School of Dance and the Marie Walton-Mahon Dance Academy before moving to London to study at the English National Ballet School. After graduating, she joined the Deutsche Oper Berlin Ballet, quickly rising to the rank of soloist. In 2003, she took to the stage at the Vienna State Opera, and three years later became part of the Semperoper Ballett under Aaron S. Watkin.
Throughout her career, Gladstone danced an extensive repertoire and collaborated with leading choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, John Neumeier, Marguerite Donlon, Johan Inger, and David Dawson. Between 2010 and 2016, she was ballet master at the Semperoper and continues to work internationally as a rehearsal director and choreographic assistant. She has staged numerous works by David Dawson and supported him in creating new pieces for companies around the globe, including Dutch National Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Semperoper Ballett Dresden, and San Francisco Ballet.
