Stage Design
Stefan Brandtmayr earned his diploma at the University of Arts Linz and founded the sit_designbureau in Linz in 1996, focusing on interior and graphic design. Since 2001, he has worked as a set designer at venues including Staatstheater Nürnberg, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Nationaltheater Weimar, Volkstheater Vienna, and Schauspielhaus Graz.
In 2005, the production "hunt oder Der totale Februar" earned him the Nestroy Prize for “Best Play” and “Best Regional Production,” as well as the Stage Design Award of the State of Upper Austria. In 2004, he received the Art Appreciation Award of the City of Linz for design. He also holds a teaching position in “Stagedesign” at the University of Arts Linz.
