Tamás Darai

Stager / Choreographic Assistant

Tamás Darai was born in Budapest and studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy. He gained his first international experience at competitions in Lausanne, Istanbul, and Beijing, as well as in summer programs in the United States. In 2012, he joined the ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, where he performed as a principal dancer. From 2015, he was a member of Ballett Augsburg and later of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company under Jacopo Godani, whose choreographic style he helped to shape in depth.

He has danced works by William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Marco Goecke, Hans van Manen, Edward Clug, and Valentina Turcu. His title roles include Franz in "Coppélia", the Prince in "The Nutcracker", Vronsky in "Anna Karenina", "Faust", as well as Romeo, Don José, and Charles Bovary in productions by Valentina Turcu.

Since 2020, Tamás Darai has been working as a freelance dancer, teacher, and assistant choreographer, including engagements with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. At the same time, he is pursuing his master’s degree at the Hungarian Dance Academy.
