Valeria Girardello completed her music studies with distinction at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice and pursued advanced training at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan. In parallel, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from IUAV University of Venice.
She has appeared regularly at the Teatro La Fenice, including the 2020 New Year’s Concert under Myung-Whun Chung, performing roles such as Disinganno (“Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno”), Maddalena (“Rigoletto”), as well as in numerous opera and concert productions, including several world premieres. In 2025, she appeared there as Mère Jeanne (“Dialogues des Carmélites”) and as Lola (“Cavalleria rusticana”) on Piazza San Marco.
At the Arena di Verona, she sang Maddalena in “Rigoletto” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Arena Festival. At the Teatro alla Scala, she appeared in “Gianni Schicchi”, “Rigoletto”, “Die ägyptische Helena”, and as Angelina in the children’s version of “La Cenerentola”.
Since her debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2017 in “Il viaggio a Reims”, she has been a regular guest at the festival, appearing in the “Petite Messe solennelle”, the “Soirées musicales”, and the ROF XL Gala alongside Juan Diego Flórez.
A particular focus of her artistic work lies in the Baroque repertoire, with engagements including the Händel-Festspiele Karlsruhe, the Dutch National Opera, the Britten–Pears Festival, as well as performances in Salzburg, Ferrara, and Milan. Further appearances have taken her to the Teatro Massimo, the Teatro San Carlo, the Teatro Regio Torino, the Teatro Carlo Felice, and the Donizetti Opera Festival.
Her debut at the Salzburger Landestheater is Tolomeo in “Giulio Cesare”.
