Vania Hristova

The Bulgarian soprano Vania Hristova completed her vocal studies in Bulgaria and continued her training at the International Opera Studio of the National Opera House Sofia. She then made her solo debut as the Sandman in Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Hänsel und Gretel” and went on to perform in numerous concerts, masses and oratorios.
Since 2001, she has been working as an extra chorus member at Salzburger Landestheater and became a permanent member of the chorus in 2009. During this time, she has also taken on several small roles, including the Flower Maiden in “Le nozze di Figaro”, Mrs Bhamra in “Kick It Like Beckham”, Arianna in Benedetto Marcello’s “Arianna”, as well as roles in cabaret productions.
