Drama 2025/2026
Our theatre will serve as a space for truths – various and contradicting truths. A space in which we can help each other understand and experience that we can and must coexist as a society even if our truths differ widely – and albeit we may reject the truth we are faced with. Our season programme will be a realm of “simultaneities”, where nothing is precluded and anything is possible; even and especially in the times we are living in, in order to counteract the heated debates all around us! In the upcoming season we will unfold stories which show that we are always, at any second, in any given situation, able to change, to approach each other, to reach out to each other, to understand each other and to shape our lives together. Humans are capable of acting in ways that combine self-sufficiency and solidarity.
We will show that humans essentially need no superordinate higher power, neither in a technical nor in a human sense. Our topics will centre on climate issues, on the unresolved conflict in the Middle East and its consequences for our coexistence here, on humanity in their exploration of their own impermanence and on the social issue of why so few people have so much while so many people have so little.
We will also explore the existential philosophical question: Why am I here? And yet, our theatre will also offer a space for people to escape all these difficult questions and to forget about their daily problems for a while.
