Echo

Dance Stage

A dance-theatre devised piece

Direction: Kate Watson & Anna Lukasser-Weitlaner

Premiere: April 18, 2026 | 7 PM | Kammerspiele

Synopsis

What remains of us – in a world where we store everything, yet life moves so fast that we barely remember what happened last week?

In the dance-theatre production “ECHO”, a multi-generational group sets out in search of traces. Under the artistic direction of dance educator and choreographer Kate Watson, as well as theatre educator and director Anna Lukasser-Weitlaner, moving images and poetic scenes emerge — situated between digital overwhelm and human longing.

What have we lost?
What have we forgotten?
Whom – or what – do we miss?

Dance, sounds, fragments of words, and intergenerational perspectives intertwine to create a multi-voiced echo of our time. In an era in which artificial intelligences think for us, memories are stored in clouds, and dreams fade between screens, this piece raises the question of what defines us as human beings. A touching stage project filled with movement, encounters, and questions that allow no simple answers — but instead create space for memory, emotion, and the things that connect us.
