A Stage for Diversity: Queerness, Musical Theatre and Elite Sports

Panel discussion

Admission is free.

05/17/2025, Kammerspiele

Synopsis

The musical "Skiverliebt – Zwei Brettln, die die Welt bedeuten" addresses topics that often come with challenges beyond the stage. The accompanying panel discussion explores how queerness is represented and experienced in the worlds of musical theatre and elite sports, the difficulties this involves, and how queer identities can be portrayed on stage.

Four panelists – musical theatre performer Anna Rosa Döller, musicologist Prof. Dr. Nils Grosch, freestyle skier Lara Wolf, and HOSI Salzburg’s executive director Conny Felice – will engage in an open dialogue, sharing their experiences, perspectives, and hopes.

Using Skiverliebt as a starting point, the discussion will open up to broader questions, aiming to foster a colorful and engaging exchange – for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike.

Following the panel, audiences are invited to attend the additional performance of  "Skiverliebt – Zwei Brettln, die die Welt bedeuten" at 7:00 PM at the Salzburg State Theatre.

Admission to the panel is free, but tickets are required. If you can no longer attend, please return your tickets to the box office.
