What happens when a career comes to an end—one that often began in childhood and in which the body has become the central instrument of one’s life for many years? For ballet professionals, there eventually comes the moment when the stage goes dark and new perspectives are needed. But what does this transition look like? How does one find new goals after decades of discipline, passion, and dedication—and reinvent oneself beyond the spotlight?

In our audience talk “Einfach Spitze!”, we speak openly and personally with former dancers as well as artists who still have this “transition” phase ahead of them. Together, we take a look behind the scenes of a profession rarely considered beyond its active years—and illuminate the challenges, opportunities, and often surprising paths that unfold after the final bow.
