Fact-Check Late Night Show

Journalism on stage

Kooperation mit der investigativen Redaktion von DOSSIER

A School of Critical Thinking

December 14, 2025 | 8 pm | Foyer, Salzburg State Theatre

Synopsis

This season, we will try something new: In collaboration with the investigative editorial team of DOSSIER, we will present an extraordinary series of events that explores the burning questions of our time. On four nights, we will analyse revelations, question narratives and examine new spaces. Journalism on stage – theatre meets research.

The audience is invited to think, ask questions and join in the discussion. You can expect surprising revelations from the research platform DOSSIER, interesting guests, humorous intermezzos, live music and an extraordinary atmosphere.

TOPIC ON DECEMBER 14: SURVEILLANCE

The transparent human – is it still a dystopian fantasy or already normalized everyday life? Who can collect our data, for what purposes, how extensively, and for how long? What is the state allowed to know about us – and how can we find out? Actress Nikola Jaritz-Rudle and investigative journalist Julia Herrnböck from DOSSIER invite all interested parties to an evening on data protection and espionage. They analyze case studies, interview expert Johannes Warter on the legal situation, and test their own surveillance measures. Together with the audience, they explore, experience, and question the boundaries between necessary security measures and invasive investigations. A discursive, immersive, and smartly entertaining evening with live direction by Sarah Henker.
