International Ballet Gala

The International Ballet Gala is a major highlight in Salzburg’s cultural calendar. Every year, it transforms the Salzburg State Theatre into a global ballet hub. Since its founding by Peter Breuer, the gala has firmly established itself as a charity event in which internationally celebrated dancers of renowned companies join forces with the ensemble of the Salzburg State Theatre to present a varied programme – from classical elegance to contemporary virtuosity.

Artistically directed by Reginaldo Oliveira and Armin Frauenschuh, the gala features excellent dancing and relies on a strong network made up of the Salzburg Ballet ensemble and international guest stars.

In an evening gala filled with highlights, audiences will experience outstanding solo and ensemble performances, captivating variations, and surprising choreographic moments that showcase the vitality and diversity of ballet today. The International Ballet Gala combines artistic excellence with social commitment: the artists donate part of their fees, and, as in previous years, donations will be collected in support of the AIDS-Hilfe Salzburg.
