Jakob im Kleid
Josef Vesely and Kate Watson
BALLET FOR SCHOOL AUDIENCES / From 10 years
Synopsis
This is the story of Jakob, who likes football, but also fashion and dance – and who would prefer to wear dresses. And the story of Lena, who encourages him to just be himself.
While there is much debate about gender norms and diversity, old taboos die hard. The story of Jakob is a ballet performed in the classroom that shows students how important it is not to let conventional ideas about boys or girls impair them in the search for their own identity.
Before or after each performance, a workshop can be booked that encourages young people to be who they want to be.
