Costume Sale

On February 1, 2025, the Salzburg State Theatre opens its doors to a special highlight: the costume sale at the Aigen Rehearsal Center!
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., theater fans and collectors will have the chance to take a piece of stage magic home.

Around 2,000 costumes from various productions, including the musicals "Der Schuh des Manitu", "Singin’ in the Rain", "Xanadu", and the opera "Il Viaggio a Reims", among many others, will be available for purchase (prices: €1 to €50). The selection wasn’t easy: “We would have loved to keep everything,” reveals Klara Wiedemaier, head of the costume department. But due to limited space, some treasures had to be sorted out and are now set to delight theater enthusiasts.

From everyday clothing to extravagant stage outfits, many treasures can be found. There is also a small selection for children. In addition to costumes, visitors can find shoes, roller skates with pads, as well as various fabrics, trims, and more.
