Reading Mareike Fallwickl „And All So Quiet“
Reading
Synopsis
As a special kickoff to the upcoming Austrian premiere of And All So Quiet, the Salzburg State Theatre invites you to a reading with author Mareike Fallwickl, cast members of the play, and the director.
With her intense engagement with social issues, bestselling author Mareike Fallwickl has made a name for herself. Her novel And All So Quiet focuses on the often overlooked topic of care work – and now, for the first time in Austria, it will be performed on stage in a version adapted by director Susanne Schmelcher.
In addition to excerpts from the novel, the evening offers fascinating insights into the creation process of the stage adaptation, specially developed by Schmelcher for Salzburg. How does a novel transform into a play? What research and data underpin the book? And how are these themes made tangible on stage? These questions form the heart of the discussion.
