MetaMOVEosis
Intergenerational Dance Stage
Synopsis
Change is a part of daily life, including experiences such as love, loss, growth, and aging. How does grief transform us? How does our sexuality shape us? And how do we cope with the constantly changing world around us? Inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses, this dance stage presents an episodic dance-theatre piece featuring self-choreographed transformations based on biographical moments. The performance encourages the audience to reflect on their own journeys and the transformative power of life. Under the guidance of Kate Watson, the performers were empowered to become choreographers themselves for this piece.
