Shakespeare im Park: Love Songs
William Shakespeare
In cooperation with Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron
Synopsis
In the first instalment of Shakespeare in the Park, “Lovers and Fools” confessed their undying love for each other, unleashed raging jealousy and displayed the terrible confusion of their emotions in the park of Schloss Leopoldskron. They were followed by “Queens and Kings” with murderous intentions, who are currently scheming, back-stabbing, lusting, poisoning each other with words and cups of hemlock and hiding behind shrubs and bushes.
Already, the Shakespearean summer stroll with solid shoes and picnic baskets (and the occasional glance at the sky to make sure the weather gods are playing along) has become a tradition for the audience, the theatre ensemble and the palace staff.
The third instalment will feature the Bard’s “Love Songs”, full of poetry, love and obscenities – which sound all the better on a warm summer evening out in the park…
