THEATRE INSIDE
Synopsis
How do you become an actor? How often does the ballet train? How many costumes are stored in the wardrobe department? How is a stage set created? Who decides what gets performed?
If questions like these are on your mind, join THEATRE INSIDE and discover the full spectrum of the theatre world!
Every month we offer theatre enthusiasts exciting insights into the many different departments of the Salzburg State Theatre. Get to know not only a wide range of professions and activities but also the experts behind them.
Our interactive workshops take place on selected Mondays from 5:30–7:30 pm at various venues of the Salzburg State Theatre. Around two weeks before each workshop, we’ll announce the theme, an age recommendation, and the exact location. You can join at any time, but places are limited – so please register in advance (from 10 days before) via email: jungesland@salzburger-landestheater.at
The participation fee is €3 for children and young people, €5 for adults.
We look forward to your curiosity and your questions!
Contents on November 17, 2025:
On November 17, we dive into the world of costumes.
Head of the costume department, Klara Wiedemaier, will open the costume storage in Aigen exclusively for us and reveal treasures that are normally hidden from the public. Together with her, we’ll browse through more than 50,000 costume pieces, discover how a costume is created, and explore what clothing reveals about a person.
A perfect meeting point for fashion enthusiasts and creative minds aged 10 and up is the Rehearsal Center in Aigen – entrance on Aigner Straße (opposite the car dealership).
