Christoph Wieschke performs poems, scenes and songs in a programme that is inspired by his own family, 25 years of theatre life as well as German and Austrian stories and history. The actor, known for his roles as Faust, Dr. Rieux in “The Plague”, Prometheus and many more, invites the audience on a very personal journey – away from the events on the international stage – of good and bad times. But maybe the bad times were actually the good times? Wieschke’s journey, from his youth in East Berlin and his drama school years in Vienna to the start of his theatre career in westernmost Germany and his move to Salzburg, is accompanied by songs in German.

In surprisingly mellow and personal tones, Wieschke muses and amuses, wonders and ponders, explains and excites with poems, stories and chansons – all of them in German.
