Programme 26/27
The Art of Reconciliation
Theater is a place of reconciliation. Even in Greek theater, existential human fates led to catharsis, and political and social tensions were brought to reconciliation. It also reflected the desire for stability in democracy.
This serves as both inspiration and motivation for us to explore the theme of reconciliation in the 2026/2027 season. At a time when more and more European and global political stabilities are breaking down, it seems important to give the theme of reconciliation—a resolution of tensions and a peaceful agreement on new perspectives—a stage. Together with our protagonists and artistic teams, we want to create a space in our performances where shared experiences and reflections on tension and release, conflict and reconciliation, are possible.
